It is also commonly found in names or brands of products. "The" is used to refer to something that has already been mentioned or is easiily understood. There were six questions. Two of them were deplorably simple but the seventh one was relatively difficult. An automobile was found guilty of smashing a tree last night. The driver is dead now.
